Play the original Minecraft Dungeons, then sign in to Minecraft Dungeons II before December 31, 2026. Your Microsoft account connects the reward across the games.
Before you start
Use the same Microsoft account in Minecraft Dungeons, Dungeons II and the Minecraft edition where you want the cape. Stay connected to the internet so your progress can be confirmed.
Unlock the Hero Cape
Play Minecraft Dungeons
Play the original game while signed in with your Microsoft account.
Sign in to Minecraft Dungeons II
Use that same account in Dungeons II before December 31, 2026.
Check your reward
Wait for the cape notification and check that Hero Cape can be equipped in Dungeons II. Progress confirmation can take time.
Wear it in Java and Bedrock
Once the cape is unlocked in Dungeons II, open Minecraft Java or Bedrock with the same Microsoft account. Select Hero Cape in your character’s cape options.
If it is missing, check the account used in each game and restart Minecraft. If the reward still does not appear after confirmation, contact Minecraft Support.

Do I need a redemption code?
The announced Hero Cape method uses your game activity and Microsoft account. It does not require a cape code.
Can I use it in both Java and Bedrock?
Yes. After unlocking it in Dungeons II, sign in to each edition using the same Microsoft account.
Can I play through couch co-op?
The official promotion allows couch co-op. Make sure you use your own Microsoft account consistently across the games.
Is the cape awarded immediately?
Confirmation can be delayed. Check for the cape in Dungeons II before trying to unlock it in Java or Bedrock.
